And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,
【太17:15】 主阿，怜悯我的儿子。他害癫痫的病很苦，屡次跌在火里，屡次跌在水里。
Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.
【太17:16】 我带他到你门徒那里，他们却不能医治他。
And I brought him to thy disciples, and they could not cure him.
【太17:17】 耶稣说，嗳，这又不信又悖谬的世代阿，我在你们这里要到几时呢？我忍耐你们要到几时呢？把他带到我这里来吧。
Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.
【太17:18】 耶稣斥责那鬼，鬼就出来。从此孩子就痊愈了。
And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
【太17:19】 门徒暗暗地到耶稣跟前说，我们为什么不能赶出那鬼呢？
Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?
【太17:20】 耶稣说，是因你们的信心小。我实在告诉你们，你们若有信心像一粒芥菜种，就是对这座山说，你从这边挪到那边，它也必挪去。并且你们没有一件不能作的事了。
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
【太17:21】 至于这一类的鬼，若不祷告禁食，他就不出来。（或作不能赶他出来）
Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
