And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
【太17:2】 就在他们面前变了形像。脸面明亮如日头，衣裳洁白如光。
And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
【太17:3】 忽然有摩西，以利亚，向他们显现，同耶稣说话。
And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.
【太17:4】 彼得对耶稣说，主阿，我们在这里真好。你若愿意，我就在这里搭三座棚，一座为你，一座为摩西，一座为以利亚。
Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.
【太17:5】 说话之间，忽然有一朵光明的云彩遮盖他们。且有声音从云彩里出来说，这是我的爱子，我所喜悦的。你们要听他。
While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.
【太17:6】 门徒听见，就俯伏在地，极其害怕。
And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
【太17:7】 耶稣进前来，摸他们说，起来，不要害怕。
And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.
【太17:8】 他们举目不见一人，只见耶稣在那里。
And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.
【太17:9】 下山的时候，耶稣吩咐他们说，人子还没有从死里复活，你们不要将所看见的告诉人。
And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.
【太17:10】 门徒问耶稣说，文士为什么说，以利亚必须先来。
And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?
【太17:11】 耶稣回答说，以利亚固然先来，并要复兴万事。
And Jesus answered and said unto them, Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things.
【太17:12】 只是我告诉你们，以利亚已经来了，人却不认识他，竟任意待他。人子也将要这样受他们的害。
But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
【太17:13】 门徒这才明白耶稣所说的，是指着施洗的约翰。
Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.
