When Jesus heard of it, he departed thence by ship into a desert place apart: and when the people had heard thereof, they followed him on foot out of the cities.
【太14:14】 耶稣出来，见有许多的人，就怜悯他们，治好了他们的病人。
And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
【太14:15】 天将晚的时候，门徒进前来说，这是野地，时候已经过了。请叫众人散开，他们好往村子里去，自己买吃的。
And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.
【太14:16】 耶稣说，不用他们去，你们给他们吃吧。
But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.
【太14:17】 门徒说，我们这里只有五个饼，两条鱼。
And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.
【太14:18】 耶稣说，拿过来给我。
He said, Bring them hither to me.
【太14:19】 于是吩咐众人坐在草地上。就拿着这五个饼，两条鱼，望着天，祝福，掰开饼，递给门徒。门徒又递给众人。
And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.
【太14:20】 他们都吃，并且吃饱了。把剩下的零碎收拾起来，装满了十二个篮子。
And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the fragments that remained twelve baskets full.
【太14:21】 吃的人，除了妇女孩子，约有五千。
And they that had eaten were about five thousand men, beside women and children.
