And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
【撒上28:7】 扫罗吩咐臣仆说，当为我找一个交鬼的妇人，我好去问她。臣仆说，在隐多珥有一个交鬼的妇人。
Then said Saul unto his servants, Seek me a woman that hath a familiar spirit, that I may go to her, and inquire of her. And his servants said to him, Behold, there is a woman that hath a familiar spirit at Endor.
【撒上28:8】 于是扫罗改了装，穿上别的衣服，带着两个人，夜里去见那妇人。扫罗说，求你用交鬼的法术，将我所告诉你的死人，为我招上来。
And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall name unto thee.
【撒上28:9】 妇人对他说，你知道扫罗从国中剪除交鬼的和行巫术的。你为何陷害我的性命，使我死呢？
And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the land: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die?
【撒上28:10】 扫罗向妇人指着耶和华起誓说，我指着永生的耶和华起誓，你必不因这事受刑。
And Saul sware to her by the LORD, saying, As the LORD liveth, there shall no punishment happen to thee for this thing.
【撒上28:11】 妇人说，我为你招谁上来呢？回答说，为我招撒母耳上来。
Then said the woman, Whom shall I bring up unto thee? And he said, Bring me up Samuel.
【撒上28:12】 妇人看见撒母耳，就大声呼叫，对扫罗说，你是扫罗，为什么欺哄我呢？
And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why hast thou deceived me? for thou art Saul.
【撒上28:13】 王对妇人说，不要惧怕，你看见了什么呢？妇人对扫罗说，我看见有神从地里上来。
And the king said unto her, Be not afraid: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth.
【撒上28:14】 扫罗说，他是怎样的形状。妇人说，有一个老人上来，身穿长衣。扫罗知道是撒母耳，就屈身，脸伏于地下拜。
And he said unto her, What form is he of? And she said, An old man cometh up; and he is covered with a mantle. And Saul perceived that it was Samuel, and he stooped with his face to the ground, and bowed himself.
【撒上28:15】 撒母耳对扫罗说，你为什么搅扰我，招我上来呢？扫罗回答说，我甚窘急。因为非利士人攻击我，神也离开我，不再借先知或梦回答我。因此请你上来，好指示我应当怎样行。
And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do.
【撒上28:16】 撒母耳说，耶和华已经离开你，且与你为敌，你何必问我呢？
Then said Samuel, Wherefore then dost thou ask of me, seeing the LORD is departed from thee, and is become thine enemy?
【撒上28:17】 耶和华照他借我说的话，已经从你手里夺去国权，赐与别人，就是大卫。
And the LORD hath done to him, as he spake by me: for the LORD hath rent the kingdom out of thine hand, and given it to thy neighbor, even to David:
【撒上28:18】 因你没有听从耶和华的命令。他恼怒亚玛力人，你没有灭绝他们，所以今日耶和华向你这样行，
Because thou obeyedst not the voice of the LORD, nor executedst his fierce wrath upon Amalek, therefore hath the LORD done this thing unto thee this day.
【撒上28:19】 并且耶和华必将你和以色列人交在非利士人的手里。明日你和你众子必与我在一处了。耶和华必将以色列的军兵交在非利士人手里。
Moreover the LORD will also deliver Israel with thee into the hand of the Philistines: and to morrow shalt thou and thy sons be with me: the LORD also shall deliver the host of Israel into the hand of the Philistines.
【撒上28:20】 扫罗猛然仆倒，挺身在地，因撒母耳的话甚是惧怕。那一昼一夜没有吃什么，就毫无气力。
Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore afraid, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night.
And when Saul inquired of the LORD, the LORD answered him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.
【撒上28:7】 扫罗吩咐臣仆说，当为我找一个交鬼的妇人，我好去问她。臣仆说，在隐多珥有一个交鬼的妇人。
