And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; and he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, and said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: And I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant. And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.—Genesis xvii, 26, 27; xviii 1-8.
Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.—Hebrews xiii, 2.
【创18:1】 耶和华在幔利橡树那里，向亚伯拉罕显现出来。那时正热，亚伯拉罕坐在帐棚门口，
The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.
【创18:2】 举目观看，见有三个人在对面站着。他一见，就从帐棚门口跑去迎接他们，俯伏在地，
Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.
【创18:3】 说，我主，我若在你眼前蒙恩，求你不要离开仆人往前去。
He said, 'If I have found favor in your eyes, my lord, do not pass your servant by.
【创18:4】 容我拿点水来，你们洗洗脚，在树下歇息歇息。
Let a little water be brought, and then you may all wash your feet and rest under this tree.
【创18:5】 我再拿一点饼来，你们可以加添心力，然后往前去。你们既到仆人这里来，理当如此。他们说，就照你说的行吧。
Let me get you something to eat, so you can be refreshed and then go on your way-now that you have come to your servant.' 'Very well,' they answered, 'do as you say.'
【创18:6】 亚伯拉罕急忙进帐棚见撒拉，说，你速速拿三细亚细面调和作饼。
So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah. 'Quick,' he said, 'get three seahs of fine flour and knead it and bake some bread.'
【创18:7】 亚伯拉罕又跑到牛群里，牵了一只又嫩又好的牛犊来，交给仆人，仆人急忙预备好了。
Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf and gave it to a servant, who hurried to prepare it.
【创18:8】 亚伯拉罕又取了奶油和奶，并预备好的牛犊来，摆在他们面前，自己在树下站在旁边，他们就吃了。
He then brought some curds and milk and the calf that had been prepared, and set these before them. While they ate, he stood near them under a tree.
【创18:9】 他们问亚伯拉罕说，你妻子撒拉在哪里。他说，在帐棚里。
'Where is your wife Sarah?' they asked him. 'There, in the tent,' he said.
【创18:10】 三人中有一位说，到明年这时候，我必要回到你这里。你的妻子撒拉必生一个儿子。撒拉在那人后边的帐棚门口也听见了这话。
Then the Lord said, 'I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.' Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him.
【创18:11】 亚伯拉罕和撒拉年纪老迈，撒拉的月经已断绝了。
Abraham and Sarah were already old and well advanced in years, and Sarah was past the age of childbearing.
【创18:12】 撒拉心里暗笑，说，我既已衰败，我主也老迈，岂能有这喜事呢？
So Sarah laughed to herself as she thought, 'After I am worn out and my master is old, will I now have this pleasure?'
【创18:13】 耶和华对亚伯拉罕说，撒拉为什么暗笑，说，我既已年老，果真能生养吗？
Then the Lord said to Abraham, 'Why did Sarah laugh and say, 'Will I really have a child, now that I am old?'
【创18:14】 耶和华岂有难成的事吗？到了日期，明年这时候，我必回到你这里，撒拉必生一个儿子。
Is anything too hard for the Lord ? I will return to you at the appointed time next year and Sarah will have a son.'
【创18:15】 撒拉就害怕，不承认，说，我没有笑。那位说，不然，你实在笑了。
Sarah was afraid, so she lied and said, 'I did not laugh.' But he said, 'Yes, you did laugh.'
【创18:16】 三人就从那里起行，向所多玛观看，亚伯拉罕也与他们同行，要送他们一程。
When the men got up to leave, they looked down toward Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them on their way.
【创18:17】 耶和华说，我所要作的事，岂可瞒着亚伯拉罕呢？
Then the Lord said, 'Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?
【创18:18】 亚伯拉罕必要成为强大的国，地上的万国都必因他得福。
Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.
【来13:2】 不可忘记用爱心接待客旅。因为曾有接待客旅的，不知不觉就接待了天使。
Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it.
